RE: 2001 FLEER EX ICHIRO NO NUMBER RC QUESTION
It was probably a replacement card that they kept in case someone got a damaged one. They don't serial number them until the damaged card arrives and then they use the same serial number as the damaged card. Lots of similar non-serial numbered cards made it out after the Fleer bankruptcy. As per value, I am not sure but you should be able to get pretty close to the same as the serial numbered version.

value would be substantially less for most collectors- it's not the real mccoy.

However it is a rookie year card of Ichiro. Sure it didn't come from a pack and it isn't serial numbered, but it is essentially the same card. Not to mention that it is in fact rarer than the serial numbered rookie. I find it funny that Topps sells their old "proof" cards and other crap directly on eBay via Topps Vault, and people pay premiums for the cards. Yet some people feel that similar cards from Fleer that were sold at their bankruptcy auction are seen as lesser than their packed out counterparts simply because the cards came from a bankruptcy auction. If the card in question was a non-serial numbered 2001 Topps Gold parallel of Ichiro from Topps Vault I bet it's value would be considered several times that of the serial numbered version.

RE: 2001 FLEER EX ICHIRO NO NUMBER RC QUESTION
topps vault cards sell for around the same prices as print plates, or less
but facts are facts - the market on fleer's bankruptcy cards are really low, no matter what they are
a non-numbered ichiro, marketed honestly, would sell for around half the regular card

As I said I would agree with you for any other year Ichiro, however this is his rookie card. I truly believe it would sell for a lot closer to what the regular card sells for and maybe even more given the right buyer.
