Thanks, I saw that one. It doesn't really give me any info though. As long as he is the only one, he can say it is worth whatever he wants.

Looking for hard factual info.

The card is 97-98, but it is some kind of buyback I think.

Ok well the set it is a parallel from is the 97/98 Black Diamond Double Diamond as the double diamonds were red.
As seen here, the same number of 144 is on the back, and he is that number in the base set.

But its not a quad cause they are out of 50 and the doubles didn't come signed, the triples were gold in color to boot.

If you already knew that much sorry, just trying to help find a trail...

It appears be something done by Upper Deck Authentic meaning it was not pack inserted. In fact, there is a good chance that it is t even a buyback, just back stock of the card that was never used as replacements for damage.

I'm not big into UDA but I would assume without the COA that is shown in the auction the value is dramatically reduced.

Try messaging the seller on eBay for a picture of the inside of the COA. It will have the full story on the card.

I'm sure every little thing helps. This is just speculation but I wouldn't be surprised if UD never packed these out but released them through other channels like the Shopping Network. Is there a Certificate of Authenticity? Either way, you can call UD and ask about the serial number.

RE: Help with this card please!!!
building on what ^he^ said, with there being a sticker on the back like that, i would imagine that it's a buyback or UD authenticated of some sort, as i don't ever recall UD putting those types of stickers on the backs of regular, pack-inserted autos.

RE: Help with this card please!!!
the code might be some kind of COA

like how UD has one for different items, JSA has another stick to match up with it

have to figure out what company it is, then you can look up where it was autographed

hope that helps
using tracking numbers (all US and some Can)
