I know in topps neither of these are Serial numbered, so how do i tell the difference, this might sound weird but i just do not know how to?

RC = rookie card SP = short print

Both are Rookie cards, however the short print is generally a different picture on the card.
Most of the time, beckett will list (in parenthesis) what the SP looks like

If you type it in the org the card # then a behind it it should state something such as (ball if left hand) Version B is the short print I believe in this years topps
