He was one of my favorite managers, behind LASORDA of course....I remember going to watch his A's play back in late 80's and early 90's..always liked the way he managed the game..definate HOF in 5 years

Tony sure made all the right managerial moves down the stretch and all throughout the post season. Easily the best manager of the modern era. He will be missed here in St. Louis.

For sure he will make the HOF. Tony was always GREAT about signing TTM free while he was on the road. Might be your last chance to get one. Most players start charging once they make the HOF. Or I wonder if he will stop now that he wont be on the road.
