It was an automated message that said hello, this call is from the company EBAY, if you are expecting this call press 2.....If you are expecting this call press 2...... I thought logically to myself, well no, I am not expecting a call from EBAY. So im about to hang up and then I think to myself.. why would EBAY call me?......The temptation was too much I had to press 2....(Im thinking maybe somehow I won something hehe) So again an automated message that I couldnt quite figure out. but it said something like your blank blank code is #### your blank blank code is ####. I'm thinking WTH, code ####?........I have no idea what that was about but you know I wrote down that code just in case! LOL. And that was it, message just kept repeating.... your blank blank code is ####. STRANGE. I have never received a call from EBAY.

ps. now where do I enter this blank blank code so I can get my prize? LOL

Sometimes when a new account is set up, you receive an automated call with pass codes that you enter before the new account is authorized. So either it was a mistake, you just set up an account or maybe someone is trying a lil identity theft to set up an account.

Have you logged into ebay since you got the call? Alot of times that call and that code are retrieval related. Meaning your account was locked because someone attempted to log in too many times, or someone has requested a password change.

Well just the eBay account not the identity theft, not sure I could give that away lol. All I had to do was reset my password and stuff. Someone tried to sell a corvet using my account and I guess eBay figured something was up and locked my account.

Hmmm thats weird, because, nope I'm not having any troubles with my account. Now that you mention it thought it did say you "may have to log into your account again, to access blank blank blank....thats the first thing I did was log into EBAY to see if I could figure out what that call was about but I have no idea...

When I sold something on eBay, they called and gave me a code I had to enet. Have you sold anything recently?

Couldnt make out what they were saying but the blank blank code sounded more like a "coupon code" if anything. It was like I am supposed to redeem something....the plot thickens...
