My Cubs-fandom wants everyone to remember when Andre Dawson won MVP playing on the last-place Cubs ten years after he was named ROY. It did not always matter how your team did twenty-plus years ago. (He was also playing for less than peanuts, if you recall.) Now he is in the HOF as an Expo. He was a great, selfless player.
