I agree. I actually really like Courtland Finnegan even though a lot of people think he's the dirtiest player in the league. I love that physical, fearless style he plays with.

i think he was trying to hit with his shoulder pads and did. You can see he hit his right shoulder pad squarely on maclin, his head just hit first and unfortunately it looks bad. I think if he was intentionally trying to lead with his helmet maclin would of got struck on the side of his head and might not have been able to walk away.

Now if you look at what he would do to guys and what they call illegal today; childs play...And I agree with cowboysfanatic. He tried to hit with his shoulder but his helmet hit first. It happens. Dont think it was dirty

Wasn't enough imho... Should have been much more due to the fact he has been reprimanded before for this behavior on the field... I get the hitting a guy aspect, but not the free hit to take someone out...
