Trades - Shipped - 8/31/2011
You know who you are.
Just want to add that I probably won't be doing a lot of trades. I'll have to be very selective, maybe 4 or 5 a week depending on weight. I hadn't realized how much shipping charges have increased... geez, look at this from 2006:

Its funny to me that some PO charge $1.71 and others $0.88 for the same thing. I can mail a single card from my hometown for $1.71 but if I drive a mile down the road to the next town its $0.88 to mail the same thing.

Just try driving your car to all those places for $8.00. I really don't think that it's bad, just like gas, food, etc... everything goes up, Unfortunately!
If you have less than 25 trades. I ask that you ship first!

I'm not sure if it's all due to increases. The old receipt from my old neighborhood p.o., well the postal workers there would check every aspect of the package by hand... jigs to check for thickness and everything... check to see if under 1/4 inch thick... etc.
As long as it was under size & weight... they'd ship as letter or large envelope and it was always cheap.
Notice the old receipt... some of the packages were twice the weight of all on the new.
These guys just throw it on the scale and select parcel.
Almost a full $1 increase...?
I'm gonna ***** about it to them next time..............
.........or maybe just write them an angry letter.

Ive noticed that if I go to the postman i get charged 1.71 roughly for one to 3 cards in a bubble mailer. If I go to the "atm" type of machine and weigh it myself and print the postage it is only 1.07. SAME SERVICE.

I started using the automated machine at my po at 330am on my way to work. I mark them as large envelopes and weigh them on the scale myself and typically they are 88cents.
