I thought I'll bid 111 just to make sure...nope one other person had the same idea 3 second earlier and big higher.. I lose.. he gets it for 113.5, I was willing to go higher.. I should have done so

That sucks.

It might end up working out better. I had a card I was chasing that had a BV of $50, I think it was a /100. I knew the card was tough to come by so I bid $120 with a few seconds left. Someone else won the bid at $125 or so. Four months later the card popped up again. I bid $155 six days before bidding was to end because we were on vacation. I ended up winning the bid at $52.13.
