RE: hobby box help
Topps Chrome is fun...prospect autos and low-numbered colored refractors of stars.
Collecting: Fred McGriff, Chipper, Griffey, and Todd Helton.

If you only open one box a year or so, I wouldn't want to buy Platinum or Chrome. They're more geared towards prospects and rookies. You may end up with something very sweet down the road but I would go with plain old Topps or if you like throwbacks Topps Lineage comes out in a few weeks at around 100 bucks a box, looks very cool with 2 autos per box and a nice mix of current and past stars. But for me if I was just buying one box it would be regular Topps.

I like brands that focus on the base set and have a decent rookie class, so '99 Bowman Chrome Series 2 is fun for me. The possibility of a refractor is an added bonus.
Collecting 2010 Bowman, 80s oddball rookies, and '89 Griffeys.

2010 Topps Chrome is $40. The 2011 doesn't come out until September.
