Brewers aquire K-Rod from Mets

I hope Axford remains the closer for them (and Ramón Hernández does too!)

Great job by the Mets. K ROD had a vesting option in his contract. If he finished 55 games this year he gets 17.5M next year. By trading him to the Brewers he will be a set up man and never reach the 55 games and not get the 17.5M next year. The Mets had to do it, they even paid the rest of his 5M salary for this year and took two "to be named" prospects in return.
AXFORD WILL BE THE CLOSER NO MATTER WHAT! They Will not let KROD get to 55 games finished(not even saved, just finished) other wise Brewers will be on the hook for the 17.5M next year. he is on pace for about 67 right now
