bought the last 3 97-98 Pinnacle boxes
So I went back down to walmart tonight and bought the last 3 boxes of 97-98 Pinnacle for $10 each.
I struck out on Rink collections (only 1 in 3 boxes) but did well on some other odds. The odds posted on these are WAY off though.
I know have handfulls of RC's of Thornton, Hossa, Marleau, Jokinen, Phillips, etc.... And tons of Signatures moves inserts (Gretzky, Messier, Jagr, etc...). Along with piles of base stars (Gretzky, Yzerman, Roy, etc...)
Here are the insert hits:
Epix play orange:
Shanahan
Selanne
Epix Season Purple:
Federov
Yashin
Team PInnacle:
Koivu/Forsberg
Joseph/Hasek
Rink collection:
Owen Nolan
Artists Proof:

Sounds like you hit a small jackpot with those $10 boxes! Too bad those Signature Moves aren't signed! Great cards!

Honestly, the most expensive rc in the set books at $3.
It's a cool break, but for most of them I would feel totally ripped off if they had cost much more than I paid, I can't IMAGINE paying full price when these came out. Plus, the odds on these boxes seem a bit off.
should be:
rink 1:11
proofs 1:39
epix 1:21
Masks 1:89
Team Pinnacle 1:99
I opened 8 boxes of 24 packs. (192 packs)
I should have pulled:
17 rink
4-5 proofs
9 epix
2 -3 masks
2 Team pinnacle
What I pulled:
9 rink
1 proof
6 epix
1 mask
3 team pinnacle
For 10 bucks a box, well worth it. For any more than that, I would be ticked about the missing hits.
