I collect test issues from major companies. I have been all over Ebay and the National Sportscard shows for the past 10 years and I have never even seen one, let alone one for sale or trade. Any help on these???

No... the cards i am referring to were produced by Topps in the normal Topps main designs from 1991 to 1994 and presented in limited number to the Golden Spikes award winner at the ceremony. I think they were supposed to be like a business card or something to commemorate the award. They were very similar to the Bowie Kuhn card from 1969 or the 2000 tops George Bush card.

I use to have the fernandez, found it in a discount box, sold it some years back.

topps use to be the sponsor of the award and at the ceremony they handed out the card of the player being honored

if you are googling or yahooing to find a picture of it watch out for the "worth" website I almost got a virus from there

just to add to this, when Varitek won, there was a dispute over licensing or fees and there was no Varitek card. I'm not sure if topps did it after that. Cards were rare. I went to luncheon in NYC for a few years and they would not give out more than one.
