Couple thoughts on this fiasco.
1) As already stated, communication is the key. You have to communicate.
2) I do not buy the reasoning that it is only cardboard and life is more important. It's not the cardboard, it's a person's integrity that is at stake.
3) Never make high-end trades without tracking and signature confirmation. You are asking for trouble.
4) Never judge shipping times on "how long it took so and so next door to get there cards". Shipping times always vary.
