He has no grounds to stand on. Paper trail in your favor as evidence. Simply tell him your not willing to retract the dispute until you have cards in your hands and make sure they are in the condition he described them. Could be switched. WORST CASE SCENARIO IS YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK.
