Seriously 12 months is a total joke.

Its a total joke they charge you $70 for the grading back in Sept, then you email them 3 months later and they tell you they changed it to 6 months, you email them 3 months later and they tell you 9+ months. No notice no nothing, this company is running like 1999 with their paper submissions, no email notifications. And shoddy customer service.

I just mailed a few hockey cards to get graded by BGS economy with sub grades. Will I have to wait 9+ months to get them back?

If you did with the 30-day economy, yes.
Been waiting since last May.
Here's what I did. Call or email your Beckett rep (if you used their name on submission).
Keep after them. Email them every week, call once a month.
Don't bother with the chat help on the website. Those people are in India and don't know skat.
They'll tell you to call the 972 number at Beckett headquarters but no one ever answers.
But to answer your question you'll be fortunate to get them by Christmas.
