I sent some cards to be graded. I had bought a three card lot of 69-70 o-pee-chee Lou Angotti cards on ebay that were said to be from vending.

I sent 2 of the Angotti cards in and they both game back graded as altered. Is this very common? Anything else I can do?

I only buy vintage cards from a reputable dealer, also I wonder if there where vending machines for cards back then.

Not from a vending machine-- but the 500 card vending boxes-- not sure if OPC did those.

Not much you can do now. It looks like they're in your PC for good until you can find someone that wants altered cards, and some people might--at an obvious discount.

Trimmed, cut, recolored, written on...hence why dealing in vintage is risky sorry you got burned

huh, so it doesn't mean fake. just means like somebody decided to do something to the card? Like cut off a corner, or write their name on the back?
