How do you tell the difference between the reprint and an original

RE: Lew Alcindor
Legitimate reprints state "Reprint" on them, sometimes it is in the fine print where the copyright date is, other times it is somewhere else on the card. However there are plenty of fakes that don't say anything on them. In those cases, you usually need to see the card in person. Sometimes you can feel the difference. Sometimes you can tell the difference simply by the printing process used (if you get out a jeweler's loop or magnifier and look at the printing). It is always best to have a known good card from the same set to compare it to. This is true for all vintage cards and not just a Lew Alcindor card.
Collecting John Stockton, Karl Malone, Ivan Rodriguez, Gary Carter & UF player rookie year cards.  Plus Jedd Gyorko rookie and prospect cards.

The 69 topps rookie is a pretty easy card to make out as being fake typically these fakes are photo copies and the coloring would be the give away. I would only buy vintage as graded online.
