SAME! Plates and Patches irks me. Put the plates in the regular print run like the old days!

1997 Pro Line II Gems of the NFL Redemption Mark Brunell! Learned about the redemption card from an old Beckett Member (who I haven't seen in ages) in the 2000s, but never saw one before EVER. Picked this up for $1.99 delivered! Oh man - what an addition!

That is a great add! Those times you can make a really cool add to a collection for next to nothing is exhilarating. Do you have the actual redeemed card too?

The redemption is probably more valuable than the card lol. That is, in terms of rarity/findability/coolness.

This collection is about more than Mark Brunell. Jade's collection is a museum to mid-90s to mid-00s sports cards. Brunell was a popular QB and he was in every product. It's a slice of industry history and to understand all the different companies, printing techniques, promotional items, types of errors or variations, etc.
Just cause a card isn't Brady, Mahomes, Luka, Trout, or whoever else that's super hot doesn't mean it's hardly worth anything. That's what make different collections awesome! Celebrate unique collections and enjoy the knowledge the collectors have of their area, I guarantee they'll know more about our hobby than any of these flippers, investors, or retail sharks who are in it for a minute then will quit when the next shiny thing pops up.
