Selling My Collection Questions - sdm19 - 12-05-2023 First, I am new to most of this, so please forgive me. I am 63 years old and have two adults sons. I have been collecting since I was 11. My sons have no interest in my cards do I am in the process of liquidating my collection. I have a mostly football and baseball and probably have half million cards, some figurines and memorabilia My plan is to try to sell what I can on Ebay, then give away the rest to a non-profit such as Goodwill or St Jude's for the tax deduction. I welcome any comments RE: Selling My Collection - akaus - 12-05-2023 What do you have for sale? I might be interested in buying some of your stuff. RE: Selling My Collection - Phillies_Joe - 12-05-2023 Good luck....not knowing what you have....depends on what you want to do. and how hard you want to work for it. Here would be my starting point - .5 million cards @ 1/2 cent per card = $2,500 - go from there. Again, how hard do you want to work and "squeeze" $ out of your cards. Remember, 5K boxes of cards can be had for $10 or less depending. Think about COMC for your cards that can sell fairly quickly (months not years). IMO cards with an actual worth (not bs "book value") greater than $3 -and have small COMC populations......send them in and let them do all the work. Again, good luck...... RE: Selling My Collection - benner73 - 12-05-2023 What baseball you got? RE: Selling My Collection - ARod711 - 12-05-2023 Any 1953-56 Topps baseball? RE: Selling My Collection - leadmetogreatness - 12-05-2023 I'd be interested in any red sox and patriots. |
