Also, I pulled 18 Jeff Gordons out of the 30 packs in the box. That seems highly odd to me. 3 Earnhardts. Each Earnhardt was immediately followed by a Gordon in the pack.

It also felt like 5 of the packs I opened were all mirror images of each other. Same cards in the pack.

Maybe this was just a hot box considering the Petty Auto and the number for Gordon's I pulled or TRAKS just did a lackluster job of sorting.....or massively overprinted the key cards in order to drive up sales.

I'm not knowledgeable enough to know.

In 1995, hobby and retail were basically the same thing. There really wasn't a difference between them yet. Collation was an issue back then and still is today too. That's how you pulled so many of the same cards. I've busted a lot of early 90's racing products over the past few years and it was the same no matter what year or brand.
As for print run, the only time that was mentioned back then would be how many cases or boxes were produced of a specific product. Most manufacturers didn't put that info out unless it was a low number to entice buyers to a premium brand.

Well, are you going to propose an update to the TCDB? It looks like the definitive answer to the question, especially since there is first hand knowledge of one being pulled from a 1995 Traks pack, and the stated odds on the pack - with a picture of that, hopefully, too.

Actually pretty cool collection of data and detective work for only spending a few minutes on it.

Cool stuff

I linked this thread to the TCDB thread the other day. Tom (lea defoote) posted that he was going to handle it. So I've just left it up to him. This thread and that one are both linked to each other so people there can see everything being discussed here too. I'm glad we finally solved a long-standing question in the NAScard world!
