R.I.P. Lou Brock (update) - DrMitchJ - 09-06-2020

If 2020 hasn’t been bad enough, now a 2nd major superstar / HOF player has passed in September.
Rest In Peace, Lou Brock.

RIP Lou. A 1st class player but more importantly, a 1st class person!

It's weird at how the passing of people from a particular niche seem to happen in groups like this.

Was just reading up on the trade that sent him from the Cubs to the Cards and how some on the Cards weren't too happy when it happened. Their tune soon changed!

Another great ballplayer and, more importantly, a great person. RIP Lou.

Yeah, they all happen to be ‘men of a certain age’
I was talking to a buddy and mentioned how lucky we were that we don’t know anyone that died in our group, but every year, someone is getting close to being ‘that guy’
on that note, my old friend Dan Pfister, just recently made the list of the 100 oldest living baseball players.
i never knew that was a list ... I guess there’s a list for everything  Smile

R.I.P Lou Brock. Great ballplayer and inventor of the Brockabrella which is featured on the 1984 Fleer card of Jay Johnstone.

Great of the game. He will be missed. Was lucky enough to pull this a few years back:
