Alex Reyes - cspen - 02-23-2019
Just wondering: Alex Reyes rookie cards came out in 2017. He missed the whole season with Tommy John Surgery. He came back last season and pitched four innings before missing the whole season. Will his 2019 cards have the rc logo on them? The way I understand the rules he is still a rookie this season. If that's the case would he be the first player with rookie cards in two years separated by a season?

The only player that I can think of with a similar rookie season separation situation ( but 2 different teams) would be Josh Hamilton. He had a RC with Tampa and then a few years later had a RC with Texas. I believe he did a stint in rehab on his rookie season break.

According to baseball-reference.com he had 5 starts in 2016, though. That is why his 2017 cards have the logo. I seriously doubt any future cards will have the RC logo.
