archives blaster... final straw - deadwards24 - 06-18-2015
I opened up a blaster of archives last night and I told myself "if nothing is in here, then its the last archives I will touch this year." Ive told myself this on just about every card in the market. I start ripping through them and the first 4-5 packs had absolutely nothing. Base Cards. A Will Ferrell card that I had already pulled was the highlight of those first few. Then it came. One of my heroes growing up on a fan favorite silver auto. Question is should I buy any more Archives. This seems to happen when I get frustrated over a product. I'm taking my card and going home!

Stay away from Archives...some of done well but the card stock is cheap with a cheap behind it. Don't like the autograph line up unless you get low numbered. I do like your Grace...I am a Cardinal fan but I always like Mark Grace. Congrats on the hit. Just my two cents but save your money for Bowman products and Ginter this year (Ginter is 10 years this year and is supposed to be loaded from what I hear). Congrats again on the PC pull!

I appreciate it. Yeah I've only opened a few Archives this year and I'm pretty disappointed. Its usually one of my favorites. Its sad that I still have a little sour taste in my mouth after this pull.

thanks guys. its a beauty of a card. this one may be hard to let loose. Mark Grace (to me) is what it meant to be a Cub. him Ryno, the Hawk, and Grace were it for me growing up.

Nice hit David. I have been living vicariously through all the people that have bought boxes and Blasters lately

Yeah the cubbies are ones I cant seem to get enough of. I really just love collecting to collect but pulling this card reminded me of a time where baseball was my life. Thats all I cared about. I remember growing up and thinking all these guys were superheroes. Equal to or greater than the likes of Superman.

I've decided to treat Archives like Opening Day. Maybe buy a pack or two just for kicks and giggles but expect nothing.
