NASCAR Trivia Thread - Mikarlo - 09-20-2014
This is something we used to do on an old forum I was a part of...it wasn't NASCAR, but the idea should work the same. The rule is, if you guess the correct answer, you post the next question (here in the same thread). If needed, we can fine-tune any rules that need to be clarified. There are no prizes...this is just for fun and knowledge. Hopefully we can keep this going and maybe a few of us will learn something we didn't know?

My first name is actually Virgil, though I actually go by s shortened version of my middle name. Awarded as one of NASCAR's 50 Greatest Drivers in 1998, I had 15 wins in the 12 years I ran NASCAR's top series.
OK, without giving anything more that might give it away, Who Am I?
(Should nobody guess the correct answer soon, I will give another clue)

Hey now, why do you get to ask a question? I do think it was my turn.
I was patiently waiting for Gary (or Jason, as thread-runner) to confirm my answer. I did not search for the answer or anything, that was off the top of my head knowing that Kurt Busch won the 1st Chase in '04 & that Kenseth won the year before.
I will leave this up to Jason/Gary before I post my trivia question (it is a good one)!

lol, true, it should be Adams, turn....normally, I will let the person who asks the question confirm the right answer. But, as we get this thread going properly, should a question be answered and the person who asked does not confirm within, let's say, by the following morning. I will do my best to confirm the answer so the thread can continue.
If it's alright with you, Adam, let's stick with Tom's question this time. We'll get this smoothed out as we go!

Mark's last win was the same place they are racing right now. New Hampshire in 2009.
