What is the difference between Topps and Topps Tiffany cards?

Tiffany are limited in print run, slightly thicker, glossier and whiter paper stock.
When you have the cards together, the difference is very apparent.
I believe they are priced significantly higher than their regular card version.
I don't think the Tiffany cards were printed every year, but I remember them in the mid to late 80s.

Topps Tiffany cards are a parallel differentiated by a glossy finish on the front and the reverse of the card is on white stock instead of gray.
