Scan Heavy S&T. Hull Prime Colors Complete Sleeve Number - one20 - 05-21-2014

So excited to have completed this project and just got to share. It has been almost 2 years in the works. Hope that everyone enjoys the show.
Upon the release of the inaugural Panini Prime, I was quickly able to grab up two Brett Hull cards from the Prime Colors set. Both of these cards were part of the "16" from the Blues' jersey sleeve number.

These two cards together made up the middle part of the "16".
About 3 months later I was able to add a third card, which was the top of the "1"

After getting this third card I began to constantly scan eBay (including completed auctions) and various message boards looking at show&tells and box breaks to see if any other cards had surfaced. After about another month's time, I was able to add a fourth card.

I continued my almost daily pursuit of looking for any additional cards that would complete the "16". I found that a card from the "16" had sold right at the original release date of Prime. Luckily I knew of the buyer. The buyer was a hard core Hull collector (with one of the most complete collections) that I have previously had contact with before thru email. We had never made any trades before.

I was able to pickup an additional copy from the Prime Colors that was part of the blue note and not from the "16".

I still continued to constantly look for the additional card that made up the bottom part of the "1". In January of this year the card popped up on eBay, and I jumped on the seller's BIN/BO price. I know that I probably could of got it a little cheaper by making an offer, but I didn't want to waste any time of take a chance of letting it slip away.

Now that I had five of the six cards, I reached out to the owner of the sixth. As mentioned I had previously only had some email contact with the owner. When I asked about making a trade of my extra Prime Colors card (#15/19 above) for the needed piece, he was more than willing to help. The owner never mentioned anything other then a straight up trade as long as I shared pictures of the completed project. The trade did take some time to complete due to both of our's crazy work schedules but I now have the last piece......

To say I was excited to be able to complete this is an under statement. It was the first time I had ever really made an attempt on something like this. I can not thank the other Hull collector that made the trade with me enough. I cannot put into my words my appreciation.

Sorry man, the Blue Note card was what I traded away to get the last card I needed to complete the number.
