I feel I'm relatively knowledgable regarding Pierce rookie year cards, however I still miss some things as I was nog collecting at the time these cards were live. Perhaps I'm missing something here? The other 2499 cards in this print run are 3-15 dollar cards depending on the raw condition. Maybe they would gain a premium if one was graded 9.5 or 10 based on the numerous surface and edge issues with these cards. So, any idea what is being talked about by calling this the iconic 888 in reference to the serial number?

LOL, I don't remember anything about a mysterious #0888. Not to say there wasn't something but I don't think there is anything that could make it mysterious or rare enough to be worth that much lol...... who knows.

I message the seller. The response... "888 is a cryptic number, google it". I believe it is referencing the alignment of the number 8 with God similar to 6 with Satan, but I'm not sure. Either way I wish he would accept my offer, I need a card that may have some mystical powers to it!
