This isn't about specific cards its just the OPG in general. Have you guys ever seen a price for a card drop by more than half in a matter of maybe 2-3 days? I'm talking about a card that carried a BV of 100 dropping to 50 seemingly over night. I had that happen to me and I'm wondering if it was a mistake or if a card can truely tank like that.

a lot more, actually
saw a josh barfield card this year drop from 50 to 8
saw an entire set - basketball 1995-96 finest test border refractors drop at least 60% - shaq went from 1000 to 250
hockey: yzerman 1995-96 collectors choice platinum player's club went from 100 to 30
so yea, it is definitely possible, and can even happen to the best in the hobby (i know a jordan cardslast year than dropped from 10 to 5, and one jordan that dropped 2500 to 1000

Hmmm, it's the first time I ever saw it happen for myself. It's a very new prospect auto that I got in trade, I'm not mad that the price dropped right after I traded for it since its going into my PC, I'm just a little shocked it just fell out like that lol.

I just had a 2012 Bowman Chrome auto drop from 80 to 50 in a week. Do they have somewhere that lists biggest gainers/losers? That would be interesting.

Who is the prospect who dropped so much? I look at ebay sales after looking at book value to get a better feel for what people are paying.

im sure the list would include any card ive bought in bulk in the past 3 years. ive had bad luck

The card that I have is a 2012 Bowman Chrome Shawon Dunston Jr. Gold refractor auto. It lost half it's value from the time I accepted the trade to the time it landed in my mailbox lol. Like I said the value of it isn't a big deal because I won't be getting rid of it, it just caught me by surprise. If the trade would have happened 3 days later I wouldn't have had to give up as much in trade. Oh well.

Seems odd it dropped that much value in a few days. Have you checked it again?
Edit: Just looked and thats crazy it went down. Wonder what happened..

He could go back up when spring training rolls around. Bowman Chrome this year is not near as good as last year but who knows.
