Question about purchasing a BGS 10 - brentboudreaux1 - 04-19-2012

ok, i do not own a BGS 10 and looking to pick one up...i found one on the bay...its a press pass dual jersey of Brees and Vick...books at $40.
Guy has it for $500 BIN OBO...i messaged him and he said he would not take anything less than $400. I think this is ridiculous ...but wanted to know what you guys/gals think.

Would would be a fair price for this?

That way too much for a Dual Press Pass Jersey at any grade. At a Pristine 10 I would suspect $100 - $125 at most.

LOL i know! ugh i hate when people like that have cards you want.
The pop report shows only 1 pristine 10...i guess he figures someone will pay that much for that

I would only pay double book for that card.
$100 at the very most.

Not no, but H*LL NO!!! Never buy a Press pass or sage card thinking it is a rc cause it isnt. It isnt recognized as a TRUE RC. Usually Prestige or Gridirion Gear are the first to come out with a true rc. If that thing books $40 I wouldnt pay $60 for a BGS 10 of those brands. Find a nice true RC to go after. That guy is CRAZY if he thinks he is getting 5 bills for that card. He is gonna be lucky if he gets $100, real lucky.

I know it's not a true rookie...check my sig Smile
The only true rookie I am missing is the contenders.
I only collect 2001 and 2011 Brees...so I'm trying to get as many rookie year cards as possible. There are very few BGS 10's of his rookie year. There is a finest 10 on the bay...i already have a 9.5...maybe I should upgrade Smile

RE: Question about purchasing a BGS 10 - jncdrew - 04-19-2012

I mean if you are looking for everything in his rookie year that is understandable. But the price on that PP is way too high. I would upgrade the Finest, sell the 9.5 and maybe get this guy to work a deal for the Press Pass. That is what I would do. Smile

Beckett books my 9.5 topps finest at $200 ($80 not graded)
Would would you pay for a 10?
