my guess is that it is the #3a if it were #3b he would be pitching the ball, i.e. (arm back)

Thanks gents, I appreciate the assistance. These variants are gonna be a fun challenge. Lots of these SP's will likely sit in boxes for along time, just like the A&G No-Number mini's. If it's not shiny and doesn;t have a serial number people just think they have junk.....Pay attention to your mini's everyone!
