Defrine "High End".... - kinarism - 12-09-2011

The safe thread got me thinking...

What do YOU define as a high end card?

This is more of a poll than a "looking for the right answer" thread since its a personal preference type question...

Do you go solely on value (book/real world)? Or is there some other determination (rarity/player/etc)?

Does "high end" vary by era? For example, would you consider a 1987 topps worth $10 more or less "high end" than a $10 card from 1960? How bout a $10 card from 2011?

anything booking over $100 imo

I would say anything with a sell value over $50, but I would also include all 1/1s.

$100+ from any sport in any era is high-end to me, whether or not I want it for my PC.

My thoughts if they count and by going by Beckett Prices
.10- 4.00 super low end
5.00-10.00 low end
10.00-20.00 mid range
25-30 high
40-50 very high
60-75 super high
80 and above expensive ( also N/A). Time for a safe.
I forgot any card made before WWII fits in the expensive no matter the grade or player or set.
This is my opinion so go ahead and make fun of me. I can take it. Smile
