This Heath Shuler immediately came to mind. Had to dust it off. Of course being a UT fan I was a huge fan when he was in college. He signed something like a $25 million contract in 94 and barely played. The bad thing is, at the time I pulled this it was a 1 of 20,000 card that you could send in for I believe an autographed football if he won Rookie of the Year and someone offered me like $200 on the spot. I guess everyone in the hobby has one that they wish they could have back.

No idea who that is but you just activated a Google image search! lol

I do whenever I think about drafting smith over rodgers when rodgers wanted to be a 49er.

Combined they have thrown 239 TDs (104 belong to Cutler), 226 INTs, and have 97 fumbles. I couldn't find win/loss records, but they might be inflated because of Young and Cutler. But for all of the hype surrounding these guys when they were drafted, it is pretty shocking. I remember hoping that Buffalo would draft some of these guys and was bent out of shape when we didn't. Not that it mattered anywayTongue

I bet a good 80% of those interceptions came from smith alone.

Oh man that sucks. But there's definitely that one thing everybody regrets not doing. But it's too difficult to predict the future of players. Thanks for sharing your major mess up with us lol.

He might've underachieved for his draft position, but he still has a lot of talent and I can't wait to see what he could do with the talent in Philly if Vick goes down.

when Vick goes down

An 07 Dual Ultra Gold Joe Namath GU books triple what this thing books now Sad

RE: Biggest Bust Card - hurdygurdyman - 08-02-2011

Considering Cutler has only been to the Pro Bowl once, and VY has been twice, i would say Cutler is the bigger "bust" of the two. It's not that big of a "bust card". At least you have two qb's who can salvage their careers with new teams.

That's pretty rough, man. But, this hobby is like the stock market- you're gonna fail tons of times, but you'll come out a winner if you know what you're doing. You know what you're doing though, so don't beat yourself up over a card. We've ALL made the bad trades, lol.
