Welcome back Canada Post! - blindros88 - 07-25-2011

Received my first package today from Canada post strike/lockout/whateveryouwanttocallit. Big thanks goes to Joel88 for working out a deal with me to get most of the cards in this post.

Here are the goods:

2006-07 ITG International Ice My Country My Team /60

2006-07 ITG International Ice My Country My Team Gold /10

This set is far and away my favorite design from International Ice, not that the bar was all that high. Two really nice seams on these.

2003-04 Topps Pristine Refractor /10

[Image: 2003-04-Topps-Pristine-Patch-Refractor.jpg]

This one is no longer in its original case but it is the only one with a two color swatch I have seen. Maybe one day I will find one still in the case.

Third Star:

2006-07 Cup Foundations Quad Patch /10

I love the Stars Emblem pieces in there! Always nice to add to another Dallas Stars game used piece to the collection.

Second Star, and it was very close:

2005-06 Ultimate Memorabilia Complete Package /10

[Image: 2005-06-ITG-Ultimate-Memorabilia-Complete-Package.jpg]

This is the first Complete anything in my collection. I really like the stick and jersey pieces and the glove and pants have some nice wear to them as well.

So now what could possibly be better than my first ever complete? How about my second copy of this:

1997-98 Be A Player Prismatic Auto SSP

Well that is all this time. Thanks for stopping in and comments are appreciated but never expected.

Nice pick-ups. Do you know what the print run is on the BAP SSP?

Print run was never released on these and the only people who know are long gone from the hobby I imagine. Best guess is in the area of 40 copies.

Not bad. It's an awesome card.

Those pristine refractors are AWESOME.

I know there is a Roy version, but I have never had the chance to get ahold of one.

Why did they stop making refractors for hockey? I know they do it in baseball and I really like them. Gives the card a little more personality.

There are no more refractors in Hockey because the technology is owned by the Topps company and Topps does not have a license to produce NHL cards.

Upper Deck attempted to make a refractor type card, and I believe they licensed the tech from Topps, in a couple OPC releases a few years ago.
