2014 Heritage/1965 Topps (update)
I guess if I saved used tinfoil and used tea bags instead of old comic books and old baseball cards, the difference between a crazed hoarder and a savvy collector is in that inherent value.

Good stuff man, last year I decided to build the 64 set in tandem with heritage and start the 65 to do this year...it isn't easy when you aren't looking to break the bank

Thanks.
It took a lot of hard work to complete ... (LOL ... searching eBay? Hard work? .... sorry. I feel like George Jetson complaining to his wife, Jane, about his job pushing a button at Spacely Sprockets.
) but you're right, trying to find it at an affordable price is the 'hard work'. If I had unlimited funds, it's pretty freakin' easy. Push buttons, cards show up in the mail.
The Pete Rose card was the toughest. I wanted a sharp card, but had to sacrifice centering so that it was more affordable.

Yep. Finding them was easy, .... in near mint condition, tougher.
I was surprised about the BV of the Tony Perez rookie. High number 1965 cards are expensive.

Ted Wills and Charlie James have autos in Heritage, they'd look real nice next to the originals.

Man, looking back, that really was a good, good team. Thanks for sharing. The constant chase on limited funds is what makes this a great hobby. Having alot of money would make it pretty boring.
Isn't Marty Keough related to Matt Keough, a pitcher for the A's in the 80's, that once lost like 800 games in a row?

It's a great looking set, but do the Yankees know you've been cheating on them, Doc?
