Fake Kobe patches
I remember a while back when a seller on eBay created these and sold them as custom cards, smh.

This seller seems to be attempting to sell them as authentic.

I see nothing wrong with selling custom cards on eBay (good luck when the NBA Legal dept comes after you), but don't deceive the buyers by suggesting it's something that it's not.

They're guaranteed authentic by his homemade certificate--not a name or a company or contact details. If by authentic he means that it's cut from an actual jersey (store bought replica) then I'm sure it is authentic. The bigger issue I think would be breaking trademark laws by using the Upper Deck name.

I do wonder sometimes if the NBA Legal dept could initiate any sort of action against someone selling a custom card if said card had a photo that showed no logos associated with the league, if it was a "leafed" card (yes I just invented a word there).

Then it would still require consent of the player and of the photographer.

What is ya'lls opinion on this Kobe?
It looks altered to me but I'm not sure.

If you look at the third picture that is posted on the auction, it says on that you are receiving a custom card. They are cool cards and the seller should state this in the description, but it is in one of the pictures.
