So....can someone explain to me why, according to the organizer, there is a Canvas YG of Petr Mrazek, but not a regular one?

Oh that is a great question, the answer is of course not an easy one, many would speculate that a mistake was made. That would probably be the easy answer but i like to think that it is just because that is the way they did it.
SET COLLECTOR, RYAN SMYTH, BOBBY ORR AND MARTIN ST. LOUIS 
They have to save some of the Young Guns for series 2. There's also a Ryan Spooner Canvas, but no YG. I'm sure they'll be in S2.

Apparently the canvas set is not a direct parallel of the base set this year. For instance, there is a canvas YG of Brendan Gallagher in Series 1, but the base YG will be in series 2.
Why they chose to do that, I have no idea.
The canvas inserts have NEVER been a direct parallel of the base set. Never marketed as such. For me I would have like to see the rookies only have a YG in 1 series and the canvas in the other. So that all the big hit rookies would have something in both.
Historically it's happened at least once that a player had a YG Canvas but no regular Young Guns card ...
The one i'm thinking of is Andrew Shaw who was in Series 2 YG Canvas but didn't have a regular version. There may be more but i haven't been following hockey cards for a while and can't think of others. PS. Wow. This is my first post in over a year. It's been a while.

They split some YGs so you have to buy both products lol. Simples
 And some of the ones that dont have a regular YG wont have a Rookie Materials or whatever, so that way ya gotta buy Series 1, and Series 2 lol. Well thats what they hope.
