THIS GAME FLAT OUT SUCKS. No season or franchise modes and replaced with a RIDICULOUS career mode. I will never buy a game again til I read reviews. EA took one of the few games I thought couldn't be screwed up and SCREWED IT UP.

Man this is the first madden that after the second day I quit playing. Hi everybody,
There is not franchise mode in the Madden 2013 ? Damm i will perhaps not buy this Madden 2013 when it will arrive in France in mid september ! 
Played my first game yesterday online as soon as I got it home and won 35-14
 The Career mode is the franchise mode, assuming you choose the coach. If you choose player then I assume it would be like the legacy game mode. They just simplified it this year but it is confusing when you first turn the game on and look for everything. 
yeah and you can play it online or offline. I think they really just wanted to focus on MUT this year since it made them a fortune last season. I know guys that blew THOUSANDS on those stupid legendary packs last year.

Yeah the main focus is on online play, and specifically MUT. That's where they generate the most money so that's where they're going to put the most effort in.
Lots of people on various forms that there is no franchise mode...there is if you select coach....................

One thing I am noticing about the coach mode is the fact that it seems like the computer will do everything in its power to AVOID trades. Kinda bugs me...
