Need help creating a collection!!
I am looking to put together a collection of the best rookie out of each year, starting from the year i was born 1976. Some of you may remember i posted this some odd years ago. I would like to get everyones opinion on who for each year.

RE: Need help creating a collection!!
Few questions: How many are you thinking of doing per year? One offense, one defense? Are you going strictly on their rookie year or best players who came out that year? (Example: 2000 OROY was Mike Anderson-been out of the league since '08, but that was Tom Brady's rookie year too)
I think a great place to start would just go to this wikipedia page with the list of all OROY and DROY award winners. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Fo...Year_Award

Hope that helps a little.
Collect BARRY SANDERS, Tom Brady, Bama Alums and Randy Moss

I only give DC for trades over $50

RE: Need help creating a collection!!
How would you continue that? If it were 1998, you'd be collecting Ryan Leaf. Instead, starting this collection now, you have the benefit of hindsight. I think you need some sort of concrete criteria, like someone said OROY or DROY. Maybe you can go with Heisman winners. That way you can be collecting guys like Cam Newton and Tim Tebow etc when their products first come out.

Maybe you'd choose Luck this year when he might turn out to be Ryan Leaf and Griffin might turn out to be the Manning. If you were just doing Heisman winners and Griffin turned out to be the Leaf, oh well, there was nothing you could do. It wasn't your choice you picked the wrong one.

RE: Need help creating a collection!!
Im so sick and tired of people leaving Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor off these type of lists. I understand Im biased like crazy but both guys made multiple pro bowls, both are in the top 5 at their respected positions since 1996, JT won DPOY award in 2006, ZT lead or was top 5 in tackles virtually every season, JT is top 10 all time in sacks, and they both are HOFers. They always get over looked because the lack of deep post season runs. It shouldnt count against them because we couldnt find a QB to replace Marino.

Here is Ray Ray's Stats

http://www.nfl.com/player/raylewis/2501750/careerstats

Here is ZT's Stats

http://www.nfl.com/player/zachthomas/250...areerstats

If Ray Lewis is considered the best by far then ZT was one helluva player because his stats are pretty similar. Also if ZT didnt have a neck injury he wouldve stuck around a few more years to pad his stats like Ray has been doing the past 3 or 4 seasons.

Note: Im not saying ZT is better than Ray Ray. All im pointing out is ZT belongs on ANY list when we are talking about the best players in the history of the game.

As for JT lets compare his stats to Reggie, Strahan, Bruce Smith

Here is Strahan Stats

http://www.nfl.com/player/michaelstrahan...areerstats

Here is Bruce Smith's Stats

http://www.nfl.com/player/brucesmith/250...areerstats

Here is Reggie White's Stats

http://www.nfl.com/player/reggiewhite/25...areerstats

Here is JTs

http://www.nfl.com/player/jasontaylor/25...areerstats

Again Im not saying JT is better than all these guys but he belongs in that group.

Stop over looking JT and ZT people!!! It upsets me!!!

LOL!!!!!!!!
