1996-97 Bowman's Best Refractor BGS 9.5 Kobe
Just got this back today and was thrilled to see that 9.5. This is only the 2nd one to ever get this grade.
I'm surprised there's so few of these graded, does it have a short print run?

WOWOWOWOWOW damn surface on those things!!! Nice grade on a beautiful card. I am also surprised so few have been graded.

sick card bro i want one so bad..i could never understand bgs grading rules, they say the overall grade can only be .5 higher than the lowest grade but your card obviously shows different..congrats!

Man, they just couldn't give you a 9.5 on surface, could they. Slick card though, congrats on the grade.

I'll be putting my BGS 9 for sale since I got this bad boy. I don't fully understand grading but I'm glad they made an exception on this one.
I wonder what the final grade would've been if the surface was a 9.

You'd still get a 9.5 since two tens and two 9.5s also gets a 9.5 and 3 10s and 1 9 is the same total grade.
I collect Michael Jordan, Mitch Richmond, and Ohio State players (football and basketball) in OSU gear. I strongly prefer 90's-era cards and use newer cards primarily for trade bait!
