My friend got this card pictured below, but I've never seen this grading service. The name of it is 1st Graded. Is this a real card grading company? Thanks for any info

"Real" and "Good" are two very different things.

Real, yes. Good, probably not. Stick to the top 3 (BGS, PSA, SGC) and you'll be in good shape.

if its a real 10 not just a 10 based on the companies low standards (asuming they are low) he woulnt get as much selling it as is, if he sends it to bgs and it comes back a 10 still he will get a lot more for it and even if it comes back less then 10 still potentially more for it because bgs is know for there high standards. However if this is for his pc then I would say he should leave it as is.

on ebay there are slabs you can buy that have a label slot in them very similar to the slabs of beckett and psa. Anyone can buy em, make up whatever label they like, and start their own grading service. I wouldn't trust any other company to grade my cards just for that reason. You never know who is a bedroom specialist, or a business that's been around forever and made it a profession like BGS and PSA has. Knowing that it would be best to just get you stuff graded or regraded from trusted respectable sources.

Never heard of them, and thinking about it, he might have bought a self graded by a collector, thrown in eBay slab case, and a label printed on their computer... Yikes!!!! How much did he drop on that one???
