Today I happened across some money in the 'ole bank account, so I decided to go to Wayne's and buy some stuff for my enjoyment.

-The 1 box of Victory I bought had Hodgson MVP RC, Hodgson checklist RC, and:

Gaunce RC, DiBendetto RC, Campanale RC, Sauve RC, Blum MVP RC, Holmstrom RC, Benoit RC, Timmins RC, Levasseur RC, Vitale RC, Strait RC, Gustafsson RC, Colborne RC, Condra RC, Koskinen RC, Moore RC, Velde RC, Nash RC.

-Then 1 box of Black Diamond yielded a Tangradi quad rookie, a ruby, a die-cut, two alright jersey cards and:

Jake Muzzin RC ***, Henrik Karlsson RC ***, Arturs Kulda RC ***, 2 bonus Ice packs with Urbom #/1999 and Leddy #/999, and Jarome Iginla Die-Cut Team Canada.


-Then Zenith we can skip because like everything ever released by Panini, it was a piece of junk.

-Finally one lone pack of Ultimate sat above all of its fellow Ultimate brothers and I had to liberate it. Needless to say, I killed it for a third time. Base of Mike Richards (* star), rookie of Brandon MacMillan (* star), Debut Threads Jared Cowen (** stars), and it looked bad until I pulled a redemption for 2010-11 NHL Ultimate Signatures: Sidney Crosby (**** stars), made back my money for the pack in both BV and SV.

DO NOT ASK ME ABOUT THE CROSBY, I REDEEMED IT, I PLAN TO KEEP IT...DEPENDING ON DESPERATION POSSIBLY SELL ONCE I HAVE THE CARD LIVE. ALSO, THE CODE ON IT HAS BEEN BLOCKED OFF BECAUSE THERE IS ALWAYS SOME GENIUS WHO TRIES TO INPUT IT INTO THEIR ACCOUNTS REDEMPTION SECTION THINKING THAT IT WILL WORK.

Yeah, the Zenith was really bad. There was no Forsbergs, there was nothing, I'd be lucky to get $10 in resale if I tried to sell. I had an Epix of Lucic in my DTT card (wow!), a bunch of non #d inserts of nobodies, a rookie of Nathan Lawson, a rookie auto of Matt Bartkowski and Winter Warriors jerseys of Peter Regin and Ryan McDonagh. Wow! Panini has not impressed me at all this year. From their rehash of Score to their "high-end" stuff, even the best breaks of their products pailed next to the best of Upper Deck and ITG.

can we just pretend the whole panini thing was a big mistake and move on with our life...what a joke. they were about as effective with hockey cards as chris olds would be doing a weight loss and sweet hairdo infomercial...btw do we know how long their contract is?
