Most common answer... depends on WHY you're getting the card graded.
If the card would grade nicely (maybe 6 or higher??) then definitely YES!! I see BVG 8's can go for $300+.
If the card has sentimental value to you then sure, get it graded.
If it's in rough shape and you want to get it slabbed just to get it slabbed then maybe try finding one that's already graded. That way you can pick what one you want and it's already guaranteed a grade, no guessing.
