Was Tim Hudson RC in that set?
I wouldn't say that was a hot box or a loaded box, but you beat the odds with the right player. The All-Etch cards (#'d AE-) are 1:6 packs, and the refractors are 1:24, so you got an extra regular one (mostly because it was stuck to the refractor). The Fortune 15 are 1:12 packs, and you got 2 as expected. Base refractors are 1:12, and you got 2 as expected. The Record Numbers are 1:36, and the refractor versions are 1:144, so landing both in the same box and having them be the best possible player in terms of value definitely makes this a great box. Considering you could've gotten Kerry Wood Record Numbers cards instead of a Ripken, it's really the right player that made that box so great.

I think maybe in the Traded & Rookies set, but not sure about base set. I'll have to look.

Ah, gotcha. Thanks for the ratio posts! I agree, very happy with the 2 Ripkens.

Sorry so long. I have a new scanner/printer that I'm having issues getting to work with my desktop pc.
Want to trade the Vinny Castilla inserts?
I've been buying older baseball boxes too mainly because they're less than half the cost!

Been trying to pull autographed Baseball Heroes cards from 1990, 1991, & 1992 Upper Deck to no avail.

I've opened probably 20 boxes of 1991 Donruss in the last year and haven't even pulled 1 Elite insert. Not even Doug Drabek!

There are some really tough inserts from the 1990's and I think those will hold their value compared to all the jersey cards & autographs released today.

Always loved Topps Chrome!
I bought a series 1 & 2 donruss '91 recently going for the same stuff. Just started them. I bought another topps chrome series two (99) because I liked these so much.
Oh, I missed the trade ask. I'm open to the castillas
Another fantastic old school break!! I love the 90's.
