And last night, while watching my Twins get thumped by the M's, I bumped into what I hope is the Twins next HOF inductee.

It sure was. My mom came to visit and we went to ZubazPalooza night at the Twins game. During the rain delay Tony O. was walking around taking pictures. Not sure that was really his intent, but he was nice enough to stop for anyone that asked.

Wow! How nice is THAT?!
IMO, Tony Oliva was one of the greatest pure hitters to ever play the game. (Teammate Rod Carew was no slouch, either)
When I was a kid and followed baseball the old fashioned way, in the newspaper box scores every morning, Tony O. was constantly at the top of the top ten leader-board for hits and average every freakin' day (as well as Rod)! Back then, I asked my dad (born & raised in Cuba) if he knew anything about him and learned that Tony was a well known Cuban ball player.

Personally, I think it's a crime that Tony isn't in the Hall. I actually thought he was inducted a long time ago and was surprised to find out he wasn't. He was an amazing hitter during a time when pitching ruled the league. He's deserving of a plaque in the Hall, ASAP!
Even slower than the Kepler adds has been the rest of my Twins PC.

But, they're a couple of nice ones.

My first Carew auto and a Five Star Berrios.

Thanks, Doc. I've still got my eye on a different Carew that I'm hoping will drop in price, but this one popped up as available FT and I couldn't not make a run at it.
