The player doesn't play?
Lets say the Starter gives you his jersey of a game he didnt play in for what ever reason. Not 1 play during the game....

Its Player worn not game used.
I'm still going game used, as I refuse to open that can of worms lol we already have issues between "game used" and "Game Issued" lol I'll go insane if I have to start doing "Game Used" "Player Worn" "Game Issued" lol
If he never wore it during a game, then it is simply a Player Issued jersey. If he wore it during the game and was simply on the sidelines or sitting on the bench for the entire game, then I would consider it Game Worn. Now calling it Game Worn versus Game Used is somewhat semantics, but that is what I would call it. Now what a trading card company would call it is a whole other debacle.
Soon the backs will just say "authentic jersey" topps certifies that this jersey is an authentic Tim Tebow jersey.
Being that vague could mean they picked the Tebow jersey up at wal-mart. I may have just given a card company an idea...
Id definitely consider it game used compared to this crap the card companies are buying and making players wear at the premiere.
Boy, this question opens all kinds of bad stuff lol.

Topps already is extremely vague with their certification, and they don't even say that the jersey is from that player anymore. Simply, "the relic is not from a specific game or event", and they stopped saying "game used" or "game worn" on everything. So for all we know they are already using Wal-Mart jerseys that the player never even touched.
It's only game used if it comes with complimentary b.o. smell.
