Some seller on Ebay wants me to pay directly through paypal outside of ebay.

What type of payment gives me buyer protection?

Goods & Services?
I don't think the seller is allowed to do that..
I was thinking the same thing. I think that if it is done this way, I am not confident but I do not think you would be covered under buyer protection.
what is the difference between goods & services vs. gift?
Gift= no protection
So goods & services does give you buyer protection?

I don't know.
Quote from TBarn291, "As far as credibility, Paypal is great about giving your money back if there are any problems. So I usually don't have to many concerns as far as that goes."
Iv bought stuff this way before and have never had an issue. I always ask the seller to invoice me for the card, and put the title in the description and everything. That will 100% protect you. Make sure to pay with a credit card as well, if anything goes wrong, they will protect you on top of paypal.

And yes, marking it as goods gives you protection. Again, use your credit card as well.
Thanks. You are the best bro.
