Some people have asked to see my Diamonds Stars set I have been working on but Ive just never had them all scanned, until now.

35 of the 108 cards. About a third of the way there. If anybody would like to make it 36, Im all ears! Some would rag on the condition of some of these but Im not in it for the condition, Im in it for the awesome cards! The picture and the print on the back are intact on all of them and that is all I worry myself with.

A big thanks to the few members on here who actually had one of these and was nice enough to trade it to me for my set. The ones that come to mind are Beatlesguy, 7whodey, and Ricelynnevans. Thanks guys!

Enjoy!

Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing! These are really cool....and I take your position, as long as the front picture & back are intact, that's good enough!
Van lingo mungo.. Nice card! What I love about these cards are that some have the factories in the background. That speaks early 1900's. Nice!
Oh man, so sweet!
Thanks guys, yeah muzo, thats what I like about them too, not just the factories but the art in general. And I like to imagine the first baseman on the ruffing card is lou gehrig.

Ive been working on this for over a couple years now. With my Jeter collection getting harder to add to without going broke, I should be able to make much quicker progress.

In 2010 Topps released a product that didnt go over to well called National Chicle. I had reprints of these as a kid and always loved the quirky art and interesting color schemes. I decided to do this set and the SPs later moving on to the chrome and refractor versions. I decided I needed to get a real chicle diamond star in my collection.

The very first one I got was Stonewall Jackson. I fell in love with it, probably had it on my desk for a month and looked at it every day.

Other than the way they look, there was one other reason I decided to do this set. There was no Babe Ruth or Lou Gehrig on the checklist, meaning, one day, it may be complete.
That is beautiful. I would love even one of those. Keep at it!
i absolutely love the backgrounds/art on those! never seen them before, very cool!!

That is what alot of people say, that they have never seen them before. I thought that 2010 National chicle and that reprint EXT set released in the 80s would have put them out there for everyone to know about.

Oh well, the more obscure this set remains the easier it will be on my wallet, lol
GREAT looking run so far! Thanks for posting!
