I would scan it but I don't want to mess up the surface. Worth grading?

So your looking to sell it? If so, I would sell as is.
If you wanna sell it sell it now. If you wanna slab it then keep or sell later. Unless you get a 10 a 9.5 will sell for maybe enough to cover costs to grade after fee, shipping, and insurance to and from BGS. However if you're sending in 20+ cards it might be worth it. However, again, if it comes back a 9 or less you'll most likely lose money. Its hot sell raw and sell now.
Or you could just trade it to me : ) haha.
I want to get it graded because I think he's got potential and I like the card
I think Doc has it right. If it comes back anything less than 9.5 you will lose money on it. Just from the scans you provided centering looks at least 9, corners look at least 9 edges look at least 9 and I can not tell the surface. The auto is 10. Please note they grade the back of the card as well. Typically chrome cards have good edges and corners but poor surface and centering grades.
