i only buy singles of Brees...and i have to say im happy with this year..especially topps. the ENORMOUS variety is amazing.
That being said...if i was collecting rookies i would be disappointed for all the reasons you guys already listed

I think the problem is that all the companies are in such a rush to get products out that they're really sacrificing design, detail, etc., to be the first ones out or ahead of the next one.

I mean, if they can't have their real numbers, I would rather have them all wear #12 or something, as in the last two numbers of the product year (2012, obviously).

Agreed. Just wish they wouldn't have put the 00's on a bunch of the rookies in this year's Topps.

Low-end is about all I can afford right now. Topps does have a fun set to put together and is great for rainbows.
